2019 National Seminar on Ultra-low Emissions of Sintering Flue Gas was Successfully Held

On November 12, 2019, the "2019 National Seminar on Ultra-low Emissions of Sintering Flue Gas" sponsored by China Iron and Steel House was successfully held in Handan City, Hebei Province. With the theme of “Making the our Sky Blue Again, We have been Acting”, the conference invited representatives from the metallurgical technology field and environmental protection technology and representatives from various steel companies, research institutes, engineering design companies, environmental protection companies and other units. 

Su Lei, deputy general manager of China Iron and Steel House, said that Making the our Sky Blue Again is a major decision-making arrangement made by the party's 19th National Congress. Since 2019, Hebei Province has implemented the strictest Ultra-air pollutants ultra-low emission standards for steel industry. Steel companies in Shijiazhuang, Handan, Tangshan and other places have made major breakthroughs in the ultra-low emission technology and engineering application of sintering flue gas under the joint efforts of scientific research institutes and environmental protection companies across the country.

During the meeting, experts and business representatives discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the current sintering flue gas desulfurization and denitration process, the future environmental protection situation, and the development direction of new technologies. The successful meeting of this conference not only provided a platform for steel enterprises and environmental protection equipment enterprises to exchange sintering flue gas treatment technology, but also opened up new ideas for participating experts and enterprise representatives.
