S355JR and A572 Grade 50 are low alloy steel grade. We will distinct these two alloy steel from two factors (chemical composition and mechanical property).

For main thickness (6-100mm), S355JR tensile strength is within 470-630Mpa, yield strength above 345Mpa. A572 Gr.50 tensile strength is min.450Mpa, yield strength above 345Mpa. This can be see as the same.

For five main chemical elements (C, Si, Mn, P, S), the heat analysis limited is also similar for S355JR and A572 Grade 50 steel plates. (See the below tables).
