Vietnam made final judgment on sunset review of anti-dumping against Chinese H-beam

On August 31, 2022, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Resolution 1640/QD-BCT made on August 19, 2022, making the first final review of anti-dumping sunset on H-shaped steel products (H-beam) originating in China, and decided to continue to impose an anti-dumping duty of 22.09%~33.51%. The measures will take effect from September 6, 2022, with a validity period of five years. The Vietnamese tax numbers of the products involved are 7216.33.11, 7216.33.19, 7216.33.90, 7228.70.10 and 7228.70.90.

On October 5, 2016, Vietnam conducted an anti-dumping investigation on H-shaped steel originating in China (including Hong Kong Special Administrative Region). Vietnam Industry and Trade Department issued resolutions 3283/QD-BCT and 3299/QD-BCT respectively on August 21 and 24, 2017, deciding to formally levy anti-dumping duties on Chinese H-beam products for a period of five years from September 5, 2017, which will be valid until September 5, 2022. On October 19, 2021, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam issued Resolution 2301/QD-BCT on October 13, 2021, launching the first sunset review investigation of the case.
