In the first 10 months of this year, from March 21, 2019 to January 20, 2020, Iran exported more than 8.8 million tons of finished and semi-finished steel products, an increase of 38.27% year on year.
Among them, the export of semi-finished steel products reached 5.82 million tons, up 47% year on year, and the export of finished steel products reached 2.98 million tons, up 25%.
Billets accounted for the largest share of semi-finished products exports, totaling 4.09 million tons, up 63% year on year. Slab production reached 1.72 million tons, up 18% year on year.
The export of finished steel is 2.98 million tons, up 25% year on year. The share of long steel products in the export of finished products is the largest, accounting for 2.27 million tons (76.1%), a year-on-year increase of 36%.
