According to the latest report of the Iranian Steel Producers Association, the export volume of finished and semi-finished steel products (billets) in Iran dropped by 4.33% in the 11 months ending February 19, to 7.09 million tons.
Among them, the export volume of semi-finished steel products reached 4.48 million tons, accounting for more than 63.19% of Iran's total iron and steel exports in the same period, down 26% from the same period last year. The steel billet accounted for the largest share of semi-finished steel products exports, and their total export volume reached 2.93 million tons, down 13% from the same period last year. Slab exports followed, reaching 1.55 million tons, down 42% year on year.
During the same period, the export volume of finished steel products reached 2.61 million tons, up 90% from the same period last year.
