Exports by Iran's major steel producers fell 19% year-on-year in the first 10 months of this fi

Nowadays, iron and its alloys, such as iron and steel, constitute the foundation of mechanical technology in the world and are widely used in various industries, including construction, bridge, automobile, shipbuilding and locomotive production.

From March 21, 2018 to January 20, 2019, Iran's largest steel producer exported 4.71 million tons of steel materials, a 19% decrease over the same period last year.

Hodadad Garibpur, head of the Iranian Organization for Mining and Mining Development and Reconstruction (IMIDRO), said that more than 40% of Iranian crude steel was exported to different markets around the world.

The official pointed out that about 30% of the world's 1.79 billion annual crude steel production is exported by the steel producer countries, so Iran's 40% steel exports account for a higher proportion than the world average.

According to a recent report issued by the World Iron and Steel Association, Iran became the tenth largest steel producer in the world in 2018.

According to the statistics report of the World Iron and Steel Association, Iran produced 25 million tons of crude steel in 2018, an increase of 17.7% compared with 21.2 million tons in 2017.

The products of Iran's iron and steel industry not only provide domestic steel demand, but also export to some countries in the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
