China's steel pipe production increased year on year in 2018

As can be seen from the above chart, the output of seamless steel pipe in China was negative from January 2016 to April 2017, and there was a significant decline in the output during the period. From May 2017 to November 2018, China's seamless steel pipe production was positive year-on-year, and in December 2017, it reached a maximum of 26.54% year-on-year. During 2018, the output of seamless steel pipe is more than 15% of the year-on-year value, which indicates that the output of seamless steel pipe has increased significantly.

Compared with the year-on-year output of welded steel pipes in previous years, it can be seen that, from the year 2016 to the year-on-year negative, the pattern of shocks appeared in 2017. However, after 2018, the oscillation pattern has changed significantly, and the output of welded steel pipe has increased faster than the previous year, reaching a peak of 20.9%. Although November was only 4% year-on-year, the overall growth in 2018 was positive and output growth was outstanding.

Overall, China's seamless steel pipe and welded steel pipe production in 2018 showed varying degrees of growth compared with the same period last year.
