China exported 69.336 million tons of steel materials in 2018

Data from the General Administration of Customs on January 14 show that in December 2018, China exported 5.556 million tons of steel materials, an increase of 258,000 tons over the previous month, a decrease of 2.0% over the same period of last month; in January-December, China exported 69.336 million tons of steel materials, a decrease of 8.1% over the same period of last month.

In December, China imported 1.06 million tons of steel materials, a decrease of 51,000 tons compared with the previous month, a decrease of 16.2% over the same period last year; in January-December, China imported 13.166 million tons of steel materials, a decrease of 1.0% over the same period last year.

In December, China imported 86.648 million tons of iron ore and concentrate, an increase of 385,000 tons over the previous month, an increase of 3.0% over the same period last year; in January-December, China imported 10,644,744,000 tons of iron ore and concentrate, a decrease of 1.0% over the same period last year.

In December, China exported 1.118 million tons of coke, an increase of 243,000 tons over the previous month, an increase of 7.5% over the same period last year; in January-December, China exported 9.754 million tons of coke, an increase of 20.8% over the same period last year.
