Australia's First Anti-dumping Sunset Review Investigation on Hot Rolled Section Steel Involved

On February 11, 2019, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2019/21, announcing that the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation was initiated on hot rolled section steel imported from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand in response to an application submitted by Australian enterprise One Steel Manufacturing Pty Trade (on behalf of Liberty Steel). The investigation period of this case is January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. The Australian customs codes of the products involved are 7216.31.0030, 7216.32.0031, 7216.33.0032, 7216.40.0033, 7228.70.0011 and 7228.70.0012.

Stakeholders should submit relevant materials by March 20, 2019.

On October 24, 2013, Australia initiated an anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled section steel imported from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. On November 20, 2014, Australia imposed a final anti-dumping ruling on hot rolled section steel imported from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. On January 3, 2019, Australia initiated a mid-term review and filing investigation on hot rolled section steel imported from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand.
