What material is Q690D steel plate?
The steel grade Q690D is a kind of low alloy high strength steel. Q690D steel is named after its yield strength value. Q is the abbreviation of yield strength, that is, the yield strength of Q690D steel is 690 MPa, and D indicates the impact temperature of Q690D steel is - 20℃.

Chemical composition of Q690D steel plate:
C≤0.18, Si ≤0.60, Mn ≤2.0, P ≤0.030, S≤0.025, Nb≤0.11, V≤0.12, Ti≤0.20, Cr≤1.00, Ni≤0.80, Cu≤0.80, N≤0.015, Mo≤0.30, B≤0.004, Al≤0.015.

The mechanical properties of Q690D steel plate are: yield strength ≥ 690 MPa, tensile strength 730-940 MPa, elongation after fracture ≥ 14%, impact energy 31J.

Application of Q690D steel plate:
Q690D steel plate has high strength, good plasticity and toughness, good weldability, good cold and hot properties. Q690D steel plate is mainly used for manufacturing various large-scale engineering structural components and construction machinery. Because of its high strength and good toughness, it can reduce the self weight of components and meet the requirements of large-scale and lightweight engineering components and equipment under the condition of ensuring strength, stiffness and reliability.

Q690 series steel grades are Q690C Q690D Q690E Q690F, the equal EN standard steel grades are S690Q S690QL S690QL1.
