20Cr material is a kind of Chinese GB standard alloy steel. 20Cr material is usually in form of 20Cr round bar, 20Cr steel pipe, 20Cr steel plate, etc. 20Cr material composition is characterized by Chrome elements, and it has good comprehensive mechanical properties after quenching and low temperature tempering: good low temperature impact toughness and temper brittleness is not obvious.

20Cr material composition makes 20Cr material has higher strength and hardenability than 15Cr steel. The machinability of 20Cr material is good under high temperature normalizing or quenching and tempering conditions, but it is poor after annealing. Otherwise, 20Cr material has good weldability. Generally, it does not require heat treatment after welding, but parts with a thickness greater than 15mm need to be preheated to 100-150℃ before welding. And tempering heat treatment may not be performed after welding.
