Vietnam's hot-rolled steel coil import prices fall by US$80-100/ton

According to foreign media reports, on May 21st, the estimated import price of hot rolled steel coils in Vietnam was US$970-1000/ton (CFR, Vietnam), a week-on-week decrease of US$80-100/ton (mainly for 2-3mm re-rolled SAE1006 hot-rolled steel coil and similar products).

According to news from the Vietnamese market, the hot-rolled steel coil export quotation of India's mainstream steel mills was 1030-1080 US dollars/ton (CFR, Vietnam) last week, and the hot-rolled steel coil export quotation of a mainstream Chinese steel mill was also 1030-1080USD/ton last week (CFR, Vietnam). Last week, some private Chinese steel mills offered export quotations of SS400 hot-rolled steel coils at US$970-980/ton (FOB), equivalent to US$1,000-1010/ton (CFR, Vietnam). Last week, some Vietnamese buyers offered US$950/ton (CFR, Vietnam) for imported hot-rolled steel coils, but the bid was too low and there was no actual transaction.
