The overall demand of SS400 structure steel market was insufficient in September

In September, the SS400 structure steel market demand showed a trend of "internal and external differentiation, overall shortage". The demand of domestic SS400 structure steel market is limited, which is lower than the market expectation. In the traditional peak season of September, the steel mills received orders without rising but falling. The index of new orders was 36.6%, with a decrease of 9% month on month. It was below 50% for four consecutive months and reached a new low since February. However, the economic restart in foreign countries has gradually achieved results, international steel demand tends to pick up, and export orders have rebounded. The index of new export orders was 46.6%, up 11.9 percentage points from August.

In terms of market terminal, the market sentiment is slightly pessimistic. It is understood that the current domestic SS400 structure steel market terminal demand performance is general, although the construction steel market has got rid of the impact of high temperature and rain, it has not entered the peak season as scheduled; while the SS400 structure steel plate market is affected by the construction steel market, and the supply side has eased the impact, the performance is also poor.
