Recently, the General Administration of Customs released statistics on China's stainless steel import and export in February this year. In February, the import and export volume of stainless steel in China decreased month on month, while the net export volume decreased month on month.

From the perspective of imports, in February, the import volume of stainless steel in China was 222400 tons, a decrease of 10600 tons compared to the previous month, with a decrease of 4.55%; An increase of 35200 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 18.78%. From January to February, the total import volume of stainless steel in China was 455500 tons, an increase of 117800 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 34.89%.

From the perspective of exports, in February, China's stainless steel export volume was 258300 tons, a decrease of 158800 tons compared to the previous month, with a decrease of 38.08%; An increase of 5400 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 2.12%. From January to February, the total export volume of stainless steel from China was 675400 tons, an increase of 57600 tons year-on-year, with a growth rate of 9.32%.

Overall, in February, China's net export of stainless steel was 35900 tons, a month on month decrease of 80.53% and a year-on-year decrease of 45.4%. From January to February, the total net export of stainless steel in China was 219900 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 60200 tons, a decrease of 21.5%.
