The characteristics and application
The hardenability and high temperature strength of 35CrMoV are better than 34CrMo steel, in the oil critical quenching diameter of 25-108mm.It has slight temper brittleness when doing heat treatment , but the steel 's plasticity in the cold deformation is low , poor weldability. Using of water - oil quenching heat treatment, can improve the impact value. Its' creep strength and lasting strength are more than 34CrMo under 550 ℃ , but after 5000h aging, the mechanical properties declines sharply. Under the working temperature of 500-520 ℃, the rotor, impeller, generator ring forgings and other high stress work under the important parts and gears.
