SA387 Grade 91 steel plate is for nuclear power plants, which is made of American ASME material chromium molybdenum alloy steel. It has the performance of preventing hydrogen embrittlement, hydrogen corrosion, hydrogen stripping, and sulfide corrosion in a medium temperature (350-480℃) hydrogen environment, and has good low tempering brittleness. It is widely used in the manufacturing of fertilizer, petrochemical, and thermal power plant equipment, such as synthesis reactors, coal gasification furnaces, shift furnaces, and hydrogenation reactors.
Heat treatment method for SA387 Grade 91 steel plate: normalizing+tempering.
The normalizing temperature of SA387 Grade 91 steel plate for nuclear power station is 1040℃ - 1080℃; The tempering temperature of SA387 Grade 91 steel plate is 730℃ - 800℃.
Chemical composition of SA387 Grade 91 steel plate:
C | Mn | Si | Cr | Mo | S | P |
0.08-0.12 | 0.3-0.6 | ≤0.5 | 8.0-9.5 | 0.85-1.05 | ≤0.01 | ≤0.02 |
Application of SA387 Grade 91 steel plate: Steel can be used as steel pipes for high-temperature superheaters and reheaters with a wall temperature ≤625 in subcritical and supercritical boilers, as well as high-temperature headers and steam pipes with a wall temperature ≤600℃. It can also be used as nuclear electric heat exchangers and furnace tubes in petroleum cracking units.
