Properties and application of 16MnD5 steel

16MnD5 steel is generally used in the quenched and tempered state, and the temperature range is -20～425℃.

Hardness: unheated ≤241HB, annealed steel ≤217HB

16MnD5 steel mainly replaces 40Cr steel to make medium and small cross-section quenched and tempered parts, such as automobile half shafts, steering shafts, key shafts and machine tool spindles, gears. Parts with larger cross-sections. 16MnD5 steel can also be used instead of 40CrNi steel when making smaller parts.
