The production process of hot rolled ASTM A519 1020 seamless steel pipe

The raw material for rolling ASTM A519 1020 seamless steel pipe is round pipe billet, and the round pipe billet should be cut by cutting machine to 1 meter billet and sent to the furnace by the conveyor belt. The 1020 pipe billet is heated in the furnace and the temperature is about 1200 C. Fuel is hydrogen or acetylene. The temperature control in the furnace is a key problem. The 1020 round pipe billets need to pass through the pressure perforator after they are put out. The most common perforator is a cone roller piercer, which has high production efficiency, good product quality, large perforation and large diameter, and can wear many kinds of steel.

After piercing, ASTM A519 1020 seamless steel pipe billet is three-roll cross-rolled, successively rolled, or extruded. After extrusion, the diameter of 1020 steel pipe should be taken off and form steel pipe. The inner diameter of ASTM A519 1020 seamless steel pipe is determined by the diameter length of the drill bit.

After ASTM A519 1020 seamless steel pipe diameter is fixed, the 1020 seamless pipe enters the cooling tower and is cooled by water spray. After cooling, the 1020 steel pipe will be straightened. After being straightened, the 1020 steel pipe is sent to the metal flaw detector or water pressure test through the conveyor belt for internal detection.
