Mechanical properties and application of 35CrMo material

35CrMo material belongs to alloy structural steel. 35CrMo material has high static strength, impact toughness and high fatigue limit. Its hardenability is higher than 40Cr. 35CrMo material has high creep strength and endurance strength at high temperature. Its long-term working temperature can reach 500 ℃. Low temperature to - 110 ℃, no overheating tendency, small quenching deformation, acceptable plasticity during cold deformation, medium cutting and processing ability. But 35CrMo material has the first kind of temper brittleness and poor weldability. It needs to be preheated to 150-400 ℃ before welding, post weld heat treatment to eliminate stress. The 35CrMo material is generally used after tempering treatment, and it can also be used after high and medium frequency surface quenching or quenching and low and medium temperature tempering.

35CrMo material is used to manufacture important parts of various machines that bear impact, bending and torsion, and high load, such as herringbone gear, crankshaft, hammer bar, connecting rod, fastener, main shaft and axle of steam turbine engine, driving parts of engine, large motor shaft, perforator in petroleum machinery, boiler bolt with working temperature lower than 400 ℃, nut with working temperature lower than 510 ℃, high-pressure seamless thick-walled conduit for chemical machinery (temperature 450 ~ 500 degrees Celsius, no corrosive medium), and so on.
