In winter, the outdoor temperature in many areas has reached below zero, but the oil tanks of underground gas stations generally maintain zero temperature. The temperature difference between the ground above and below makes the diesel fuel entering the tank easy to condense and produce water vapor. As the water vapor gathers in the tank, a layer of water debris is formed at the bottom. If there is too much water, it will be added to the gasoline tank by the fuel pump and fuel gun, causing several quality accidents.

In order to avoid accidents and achieve effective supervision, oil companies require their gas stations to conduct daily supervision on the data of the gas station tanks, and do a good job of data comparison between the handheld gauge and the level gauge, so that the data is accurate. The water and impurities exceed the regulations are removed in time to prevent problems before they occur. The level gauge plays an important auxiliary role in the quality management of the safety data of the gas station in winter. Using the data automatically measured by the liquid level meter can locate possible quality problems more quickly. When the water level exceeds the preset threshold value of the oil tank of the gas station, the level meter will also give an alarm to remind the station personnel to deal with it as soon as possible, helping the station realize effective digital quality management. For floating roof oil tanks, a floating roof lift test is also required. When filling and discharging water, the focus should be on the stability of the floating roof lifting, sealing and flexibility of the guiding part, and the leakage of the central drainage pipe.
