15Mo3 steel plate is used for high pressure boilers (working pressure is generally above 9.8 Mpa, operating temperature is between 450 to 650 deg C) heating surface tubes, economizers, superheaters, reheaters and so on.

15Mo3 steel plate welding method:
According to the chemical composition and working conditions of 15Mo3 steel plate, R107 electrode with high impact toughness and elongation and good crack resistance can be selected, which can ensure the performance requirements of 15Mo3 steel plate. The welding wire is TIG R10. According to the test results, the welding and using requirements can be met.

The microstructure of 15Mo3 steel plate is pearlite + ferrite. According to the carbon equivalent formula CE (IIW) = C + Mn / 6 + (CrMo + V) / 5 + (Ni + Cu) / 15 of American Welding Association, the carbon equivalent CEV of 15Mo3 steel plate is less than 0.4%. It is said that 15Mo3 steel plate has good weldability.
