Surface heat treatment methods for ASTM A519 1045 seamless steel pipes

1. Surface quenching:

2. Chemical heat treatment:

3. Contact resistance heating quenching:
The voltage of less than 5 volts is added to ASTM A519 1045 seamless steel pipe by the electrode. A large amount of electric current flows through the contact between the electrode and the 1045 seamless pipe, and a large amount of resistance heat is produced. The surface of the 1045 seamless pipe is heated to the quenching temperature, then the electrode is removed. The heat is introduced into the 1045 seamless pipe and the surface is cooled quickly, that is to reach the purpose of quenching.
