On July 27, 2022, the European Commission announced that at the request of the European Steel Association on behalf of European hot-rolled stainless steel sheet and coil manufacturers on June 17, 2022, an anti circumvention investigation was conducted on hot rolled stainless steel sheets and coils originating in Indonesia to examine whether the products involved were re exported to the EU through Turkey to avoid anti-dumping duties.
The customs codes of the products involved are 721911, 721912, 721913, 721914, 721922, 721923, 721924, 722011 and 722012 (Taric codes 219110010, 7219121010, 7219129010, 7219131010, 7219139010, 7219141010, 7219149010, 7219221010, 7219229010, 7219230010, 7219240010, 7220110010, 7220120010).
On August 12, 2019, the European Commission announced that in response to the application filed by the European Iron and Steel Association on behalf of the European Union hot-rolled stainless steel sheet and coil manufacturers on June 28, 2019, the European Commission would conduct an anti-dumping investigation on hot-rolled stainless steel sheets and coils originating in Indonesia, Chinese Mainland and Taiwan, China. On October 7, 2020, the European Commission made a positive final ruling on the case.
