China's ST 37 material export inquiry is hot in January

In January, China's ST 37 material and so on steel price fluctuated and fell, and steel export inquiry was hot. As of January 18, compared with the high point on December 22, 2020, the general steel index, rebar and hot coil fell by 358 yuan / T, 223 yuan / T and 474 yuan / T respectively, among which the cold rolled steel plate fell by 731 yuan / T.

However, ST 37 material and so on steel prices in some overseas countries, such as Europe, the United States and the Middle East, are still rising, and the price gap between domestic and foreign countries is further widening. China's export price advantage is obvious. According to market news, at present, the ST 37 material and so on steel plate export inquiries are hot. What’s more, in the past half a month, Chinese rebar manufacturers have signed more than 500000 tons of rebar export orders to South Korea, Singapore, Cambodia and other places, and other Chinese steel mills have begun to actively seek overseas orders.

From the current supply and demand pattern and price difference, it is expected that China's ST 37 material and so on steel export will continue to increase in the first quarter.
