In January-May, China imported (Chinese mainland only and the same below) 5 million 464 thousand tons of HARDOX 400 wear steel plate and so on steel, an increase of 12% over the same period last year. The import of steel billets was 3.053 million tons, with a year-on-year increase of 662.3%; and that of imported steel ingots was 22000 tons, with a year-on-year increase of 63.7%. About 8.77 million tons of crude steel was imported. From January to may, the average price of imported HARDOX 400 wear steel plate and so on steel in China was 1007.7 US dollars / ton, down 16.5% year on year; the average price of imported steel billet was 447.8 US dollars / ton, down 46.5% year on year.

From January to may, China exported 25 million tons of steel products, a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%, and 10000 tons of steel billets, a year-on-year decrease of 19.6%. Equivalent to 26.05 million tons of crude steel exports. From January to may, the average price of China's steel exports was 775.1 US dollars / ton, down 3.7% year-on-year.
