Heat Treatment of SA533 GrB Cl2 Steel Plate: The steel plate should be heat treated to a suitable temperature in the range of 1550-1800°F (845-980°C) for a time sufficient to make the temperature uniform throughout the thickness of the plate, and then quenched in water . It is then tempered at a suitable temperature to produce the specified properties, but should not be tempered below 1100°F (595°C) for a minimum holding time of 1/2h/in. (1.2min/mm) thickness, But not less than 1/2h.
