27SiMn belongs to alloy structural steel. The performance of 27SiMn alloy structural steel is better than that of 30Mn2 steel, the hardenability is high, the critical hardenable diameter in water is 8-22mm, the machinability is good, the cold deformation plasticity and weldability are moderate; in addition, the toughness of the 27SiMn steel is not much reduced during heat treatment. However, it has quite high strength and wear resistance, especially when it is water quenched, it still has high toughness; but 27SiMn steel has high sensitivity to white point, and has a tendency to temper brittleness and overheating sensitivity during heat treatment.
