Chemical composition and application of 20 # steel plate

20 # steel plate is a high-quality carbon structural steel plate, with a thickness range of 3-200mm. The standard GB/T711 is implemented. The delivery status is hot rolling, normalizing, tempering, normalizing and tempering, annealing.

Thickness >60- 200mm
C: 0.17-0.24, Si: 0.17-0.37, Mn: 0.35-0.65, P: 0.025, S: 0.02, Cr: 0.25, Ni: 0.25, Cu: 0.25

Remarks: 1. The content of residual elements Cr, Ni and Cu in 20 # steel may not be analyzed if the supplier can guarantee it.

2.The allowable deviation of chemical composition of finished steel plate shall comply with the provisions of GB/T222.

Use of 20 # steel plate
The 20 # steel plate is used for parts that do not bear great pressure but require high toughness, such as pull rods, shaft sleeves, screws, lifting hooks, etc., and for pipes, conduits, carburized and cyanated parts with low core strength, such as shaft sleeves, rollers, shafts, gears, sprockets, etc., which are used in non-corrosive media with high pressure and below 450℃.
