15MnV is a low-alloy high-strength structural steel, which is developed on the basis of carbon structural steel and adding a small amount of alloying elements. It was originally called ordinary low-alloy steel.
15MnV low alloy steel plate can be divided into hot-rolled steel plate and cold-rolled steel plate according to production.
15MnV steel hot rolled sheet:
Advantages: low hardness, easy processing, good ductility.
15MnV steel cold rolled sheet:
Advantages: small thickness, high precision, good performance, multi-purpose variety, high surface.
Performance characteristics of 15MnV steel plate:
The strength is higher than that of carbon structural steel, which can reduce the weight of the structure and save steel;

15MnV carbon C: ≤0.20
15MnV silicon Si: ≤0.55
15MnV Manganese Mn: 1.00-1.60
15MnV phosphorus P: ≤0.045
15MnV sulfur S: ≤0.045
15MnV Vanadium V: 0.02-0.15
15MnV Titanium Ti: 0.02-0.20
15MnV, 15MnTi and 16MnNB are low-alloy high-strength steels of the same grade, and the new grade of these three steels is Q390. If not for low temperature, 10MnPNbRE can also be used instead.
15MnV low alloy steel composition characteristics:
Low carbon: carbon content ≤ 0.2% to meet the requirements of plasticity, toughness, weldability and cold workability; Low alloy: the main alloying element is manganese.
