Brief introduction of NR400ZL steel plate

NR400ZL steel plate is low-alloy high-strength steel plate for converter shell.

NR400ZL steel plate ultrasonic flaw detection standard:
NR400ZL steel plates are subjected to ultrasonic flaw detection one by one. The ultrasonic flaw detection method for steel plates with thickness ≤ 120mm is GB/T2970, and the qualified level is II; the flaw detection method for steel plates with thickness >120mm is SeL072, and the qualified level is level III, which is specified in the contract.

NR400ZL plate heat treatment technology: normalizing, tempering, quenching, annealing and other heat treatments are performed on the steel plate, so that the steel plate has good structure and properties.

Delivery status of NR400ZL steel plate: The steel plate is delivered in a normalized heat treatment state.

NR400ZL steel plate technical requirements: The size, shape, weight and allowable deviation of the steel plate should meet the requirements of JIS G3193, and can be used for flaw detection, Z15-Z35 thickness Z-direction performance requirements, and high strength and high resistance requirements.

Note: The allowable deviation of the chemical composition of the finished steel plate shall comply with the provisions of GB/T222. If the supplier can guarantee it, the analysis may not be carried out.

Out-of-furnace refining processes such as vacuum degassing should be used to reduce the H and O content of the steel plate.

Mechanical properties of NR400ZL steel plate:
Mechanical properties of NR400ZL at room temperature:
Re≥300MPa; Rm≥400MPa; A≥24%.

High temperature strength of NR400ZL steel plate:
The high temperature tensile yield strength at 350℃ is: Re0.2≥225.

Impact resistance of NR400ZL steel plate:
The longitudinal Charpy V impact energy at 0℃ should satisfy AKV≥47J.

Anti-lamellar tearing function of NR400ZL steel plate:
The Z-direction section shortening rate Z ≥ 15% should be satisfied.

Cold bending function of NR400ZL steel plate:
180° transverse cold bending (d=3a, B=35mm) should be intact and cracks are not allowed.

NR400ZL steel plate process flow:
Converter/electric furnace steelmaking—LF furnace refining→VD furnace vacuum degassing—continuous casting/die casting/electroslag—cleaning and heating—rolling—flaw detection—heat treatment—steel plate finishing—sampling—performance inspection.

NR400ZL steel plate specification range: steel plate width 1500-4020mm, thickness 8-700mm, length 3000-27000mm. Depending on the material, the maximum thickness of the steel plate is also different.
