After quenching and tempering, its hardness can reach HRC 40-45, tensile strength can reach 850-1100 MPa, and yield strength is about 700 MPa. 410 stainless steel has both high wear resistance and fatigue resistance, and is suitable for high stress components. However, in the annealed state, the hardness is lower (HB 170-200), and the ductility is improved, making it easier for cold forming processing.
410 stainless steel material needs to balance strength and toughness in sheet metal applications. Its fracture elongation is about 20% -25%, and its performance can be optimized by adjusting the tempering temperature. Local heat treatment is required after welding to restore mechanical stability. It is suitable for manufacturing cutting tools, mechanical protective plates, etc., but high chlorine or strong acid environments should be avoided to prevent stress corrosion cracking.
