Heat treatment of ASTM A516Gr.55 Boiler Steel Plate
1)For A516 Grade 55 steel plates, if the plate thickness is 40mm or under 40mm, it is normally supplied in the as-rolled condition. If the client has special requirement, it can also be normalized or stress relived, or both.
2)If the SA516Gr.55 plate thicker than 40mm, it should be normalized, even the client do not specify it.
