Basically, 20Cr steel factory will be carburized. 20Cr steel is carburized and quenched, and the surface hardness can be about HRC58~HRC64, but the hardness of the heart can only reach HRC22~HRC30. If it is not carburized, it is only tempered. The hardness can only be around HRC22~HRC30. Compared with 15Cr steel, it has higher strength and hardenability. The critical hardening diameter in oil is 4-22mm, and the critical hardening diameter in water is 11-40mm, but the toughness is poor. This steel still has a tendency to grow grains during carburization, and direct quenching at a lower temperature has a greater impact on impact toughness, so secondary quenching is required after carburization to improve the toughness of the core of the part, and there is no temper brittleness.
