304L stainless steel plate is a variant of low-carbon 304 stainless steel, for the need for welding applications. Lower carbon content makes it close to the weld heat affected zone to minimize carbide precipitation, and carbide precipitation may result in intergranular corrosion (weld erosion). Note: L on behalf of low-carbon, such as 304L lower carbon content than 304. H and S stands for high-temperature, such as 310S than 310 strong, 304H than 304 heat.
304L stainless steel plate
The distinctive feature uses of 304L stainless steel plate is corrosion-resistant, concentrated nitric acid and dilute nitric acid on the inherent corrosion resistance. This performance can easily make it from most other metals or alloys to be distinguished. However, high carbon steel 304 and 304L during the nitric acid test is slightly affected by corrosion.Non-ferrous metals will immediately be corroded once encounter concentrated nitric acid. The nitric acid has a strong corrosion on carbon steel.
