 ASTM 304 stainless steel is most widely used stainless steel. ASTM 304 stainless steel has high strength, high temperature resistance and workability. ASTM 304 stainless steel is essentially non-magnetic in the annealed condition and becomes magnetic when cold worked. 

ASTM 304 stainless steel is suitable for applications where welding is required including rchitectural mouldings and trim, welded components of chemical, textile, paper, pharmaceutical, chemical industry processing equipment and non-marine environment. 
ASTM 304 stainless steel is also resistant to oxidation. ASTM 304 stainless steel has excellent formability. These alloys can be easily manufact ured and cleaned.
