OCTG is Oil Country Tubular Goods' acronym, it refers to a class of specialized steel pipe used in oil and gas exploration, and the majority of seamless pipe, but welded pipe also accounted for a considerable proportion.
OCTG divided into three categories: the drill pipe, sucker Rod and oil wells pipe. But it does not include oil / gas delivery tube (These tubes are called the pipeline steel).
During the drilling process the drill pipe connected the drilling motor and drill bit of the pipe, the outer diameter is generally 2-6.5 inches (50-165mm). Because the work environment is hard, so the drill pipes are all seamless.
Sucker rod as oil / gas wells structural wall or liner to prevent oil well or the groundwater from pollution; the maximum diameter is can up to 26 inches. Sucker rod accounted for OCTG shipments 3/4.
