ASTM A516 Grade 65 steel is an excellent weldable carbon steel choice for pressure vessels and boiler fabrication. The material offers excellent performance in lower than ambient temperature service, has good weldability and excellent notch toughness.
A516 Grade 65 has greater specified tensile and yield strength when compared with ASTM A516 Grade 60
Used throughout the oil, gas and petrochemical industry, the steel is also found in sour service and wet H2S applications (where the steel is HIC tested).
Masteel UK Limited stock ASTM A516 Grade 65 carbon steel plates which come with mill certification in compliance with EN10204 3.1 or EN10204 3.2. The plates are hard stamped and are fully traceable.
