Japan’s Tokyo Steel announced to leave its domestic list prices unchanged for April contracts.
After the announcement, the company’s list prices for SPHC hot rolled coils with thickness of 1.7 millimeter to 22 millimeter are at JPY 62,000 per tonne and those for SS400 senior-size H beam are at JPY 74,000 per tonne.
Mr Kiyoshi Imamura, the marketing director of Tokyo Steel, said that the steel demand for the domestic construction sectors is recovering.
Furthermore, the clear sign is expected to appear in the H2 of this year when the public projects and private capital investments are carried out.
EN10025(93) S355J2 steel is a structural grade with at minimum yield strength of 355 N/mm2m, the J2 designation confirms that the steel has undergone longitudinal Chary V-Notch impact testing at 27J (Joules) at room temperature. EN10025(93) S355J2 steel has good high yield and tensile strength though this strength suffers if the material is heat treated at temperatures exceeding 600°C.
