The mechanical properties of SS400:When the thickness of SS400is less than 16mm, its yield strength is 235N/m2,and when its thickness is more than 16mm,its yield strength is 225N/m2. To the tensile strength aspect,SS400s tensile strength is from 360 to 510 MPa when its thickness is less than 3mm, and its tensile strength is from 340 to 470MPa when the thickness of SS400is more than 3mm. When SS400's thickness is up to 1.5mm its elongation is 16%,1.51-2.00mm its elongation is 17%,2.01-2.50mm its elongation is 18%,2.51-2.99mm its elongation is 19% and when SS400's thickness is more than 3mm, its elongation is 24%.All above,the impact energy of SS400 is 27J which based on the temperature os 20degree.
