P235GH steel plate/sheet
The steel grade P235GH is characterised by a minimum yield strength of 235 - 355 MPa and by good weldability. This grade P235GH is used above all for manufacturing boilers, pressure vessels and pipes transporting hot liquids. The user of this kind of steel grade P235GH must make sure that his calculation, design and processing methods are appropriate for the material. The grades of this series offer good cold and hot-forming properties.
The chemical composition of P235GH is as followings:
C.max:0.16, Si.max:0.35, Mn:0.60-1.20, P.max:0.025, S.max:0.015, N.max:0.012, Al.min:0.02,
Cu.max:0.30, Cr.max:0.30, Ni.max:0.30, Mo.max:0.08, Ti.max:0.03, V.max:0.02, Nb.max:0.02
The mechanical properties of P235GH steel:
The min. Yield strength of P235GH is 235MPa when its thickness is less than 16mm, and when the thickness of P235GH is more than 16mm ,its min.yield strength is 225MPa; the tensile strength of this material grade P235GH is from 360 to 480; and the P235GH's min total elongation is 24%.
The impact energy of P235GH is 40 J in +20 degree, when its impact energy is 34J theworking temperature of P235GH is 0 degree , and its impact energy is 27J in -20 degree.
The welding of P235GH: the steel grades of this series may be welded by means of the usual welding techniques.
