The different grade steel like two good brothers. these true name are High-strength steel for cold-forming, normalised rolled.
They have some same thing such as Available dimensions Smallest bending radius(Smallest recommended bending radius bending angles ≥90) Nom. thick. e smallest bending radius ≤3 mm 0.25 e 3 < e ≤6 mm 0.50 e > 6 mm 1.00 e).
But there still have four differences between them.
1.On Material no. The S315MC is 1.0972 according to DIN EN 10149, Teil.Tensile strength class A .
2.On Welding. The S315NC is 1.0973 according to DIN EN 10149-3 Tensile strength class A 2.On Welding The S315MC must follow some special orders. But S315NC can be perfectly welded both manually and using automatic equipment by means of all known welding.
3.On Condition of delivery, scope of testing and certificate. The S315MC provisions of EN 10149-2, chapters 7.2 and 8 shall apply for delivery and inspection. The products are delivered in a thermomechanically-rolled condition.The S315NC of EN 10149-3. The products are delivered in a condition obtained by normalised rolling.
4.OnHeat treatment. The S315MC need Special treatment . Normalised and stress relief annealing above 580 °C with long holding times results in a reduction of yield strength and tensile strength as compared to the asdelivered condition which is why such heat treatments should be avoided. But the S315NC could not need these steps.
