316L stainless steel is molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel, which is more resistant to general corrosion and pitting/crevice corrosion than the conventional chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steels such as Alloy 304.
316L stainless steel
316L stainless steel resists to wet atmosphere or room temperature solutions containing some chloride or fluoride additions. 316L stainless steel is not seawater resistant. 316L stainless steel may be used in diluted sulphuric acids at low temperature (≤ 330°C – 626°F) as well as in sour organic solutions.
316L stainless steel is a variant of Type 316 and differs by having a lower Carbon content as well as slightly lower yield and tensile strengths. 316L stainless steel offers improved weldability and also reduces the possibility of lower corrosion resistance around welded areas.
316L stainless steel is one of mainly products of BEBON. We have registered a large number of 316L stainless steel ex-stock. If you require 316L stainless steel, we can send goods to you immediately.
