My favourite stainless steel cup is rusty. Why? As we all know, stainless steel does not rust. Why?
In fact, stainless steel under certain conditions can also rust.
Average service life of the mesh belt is very short compared with the stainless steel mesh belt. It is because that the environment we use is very complex, such as high temperature, corrosion environment etc. The stainless steel mesh belt is characterized by high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and high strength. There is no the metal which can not corroded in common materials, so there is no the stainless steel mesh belt whichi can not rust. For stainless steel, just the corrosion resistance performance is more superior, not too easy to be corroded.
Stainless steel has the ability to resist oxidation atmosphere -- not rust, also has the ability to resist corrosion in the acid, alkali, salt medium -- corrosion resistance. Generally, stainless steel does not rust, but if the use or maintenance is not proper, or the environment is worse, rusting phenomenon may appear. Yellow or orange rust appears on the surface, that is the signs of rust. The ability of corrosion resistance changes with its own chemical composition, increase mutual status, condition of use and environment in the type of media.
